Diary of a Drifter-House 4-Chapter 4-To Infinity and Beyond

I finally picked up the phone and called that contractor.  I do have to say they did an excellent job with the specifications I gave them for the house.

And the exterior plus some minor furnishing were ready just in time for Tamika's Birthday.

I was also finished with my project and I wanted to give this to Tamika for her birthday gift but she wasn't impressed at all.  When I told her that she could fly to Infinity and Beyond in this, she said she would rather something from Bed, Bath and Beyond.  What is not to like with this great gift?  I'll never understand women.

At least both Skyla and Tamika enjoyed the cake I baked.  I got one thing right that day.

I figured that Skyla hasn't met him yet (I just hope the fact that he is a ghost doesn't scare her) and I still owed Tamika a birthday gift so I accepted the invite. That turned out to be a bad decision.

Never bring a Wild and Hungry Toddler any of the Festivals.  I couldn't get her any food to eat and she was always taking her clothes off running all over the place.  I had a helluva a time just keeping up with her.

The only thing I could do was give her some of the strawberries I has just picked from our garden.  I gave her a few but she only ate one which really didn't satisfy her hunger.  I was so afraid someone was going to call social services and report us for neglect.

The next big thing turned out to be Jake Walker, the butler that my mother hired when I was a teenager.

Skyla was so cranky we had to take her home before she had a tantrum.  I made her a nice ham and cheese sandwich and she actually threw it on the floor.

That was the final straw.  She was hungry and I knew it. yet she was tossing perfectly good food on the floor.  I had no choice but the reprimand her for her bad behavior.

She wasn't happy at all but she has to learn some manners.

Her mother made sure she ate the next sandwich and than we put her straight to bed after a time out.

The day wasn't a total loss.  I may have not been able to get something nice for Tamika but we did find this lamp which is perfect for Skyla's room.

Maybe I couldn't talk Tamika into a test drive this but I'm ready to explore the the friendly skies.

To Infinity and Beyond!

Here are the results of my first space mission:

My first space mission was an experience I won't forget.  A little scary at first but exciting at the same time.  It won't be long before I find the planet Sixam.  I do think I should make some upgrades to the rocket before trying again.

  1. Lol Tamika is so funny.
I have been able to feed a toddler at the festival once, but haven't been able to do it again.
The first space mission sure was interesting! I like how you posted all the notifications about the mission.

    1. I had Harry keep buying plates of food but he wasn't able to give it to her no matter how much I tried. Luckily I had those strawberries which brought me some time or I think the social worker would have come.

Thanks so much about the space mission :)

  2. LOL Harry you have a lot to learn about women and gifts. Hopefully you'll make it up to her later. Skyla is certainly a handful. They will have to keep being strict with her to keep her in line.

I hate that giving them produce doesn't fill that food bar. Like what is the point of it then?

    1. Yep Harry does have a lot to learn about women LOL Lucky for him Tamika is head over heels in love with him.

They are lucky they didn't have twins because Skyla certainly keeps them busy. I was getting frustrated with the festival and feeding Skyla. She ate several strawberries but her hunger bar stayed red. I'm just happy we didn't have the social worker come around.
